One year ago today...

...I said goodbye to my sweet pup, Candy. Even though I did a whole book of layouts of her this past year, I just had to do one more today in her memory. I used an overlay by Suzanne C. Walker and the font is Hobbes. Below is the same layout with a photo I took today of my sweet pup Kayla whom I'm thankful to have around this year!

I am so sorry for your loss of Candy. I don't think I ever realized during the making of your book that you had just lost her. It is amazing how they affect our lives and how quickly they become part of our families. Your book of her was wonderful, and this tribute LO is also beautiful!
Your new little Kayla is a beauty! I hope that she brings you even half as much joy as Candy did. Thank you for sharing these LOs with us!!

Big hugs {{{{{Chris}}}} Kayla might not fill the void but she will help a little bit I hope. I will give my Molly an extra big tummy rub tonight to be thankful. And I too want to thank you for sharing your layouts of Candy, it makes us appreciate our furbabies.

My babies have been gone 11 & 12 years now. I still find pictures that I want to scrap of them and think of them often. They are such a hugh part of our lives. We now have two cats. They are just as precious. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Sending you a BIG hug. I remember the LO's you did of Candy and I shed quite a few tears. Read this today and shed a few more. Not only because of your loss, but also because it reminded me of my dear Debbie and Cessie who came into my life 3 weeks after losing Deb.

I'll always remember the the LO's of Candy and what a wonderful tribute it is for such a wonderful dog in your life.

Bless you, Chris. You really touched my heart with that and with this 1 year reminder.

Your sweet Candy looks just like my Ruby Lou! I'll hug her an extra one tonight in memory of your Candy. My Laddie (a cocker spaniel) was hit on the road 12 years ago today and I still cry when I think of how much I miss him. But I'm so thankful I had 6 years of unconditional love.

Oh Cauleen, I'm so sorry about your Laddie...I'm sure it's still so hard even as the years pass. I'd love to see a layout of Ruby Lou (adorable name!) sometime!

Hi Christine! Here's a layout I did a while back of Ruby Lou. http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n114/CottonwoodCottage/?action=view¤t=PuppyLove.jpg It's been so long that I don't even remember which supplies I used! LOL Hope your New Year is going great so far! ---Cauleen

Wow, you're right...Ruby Lou looks just like Candy ! I'm sure just as sweet and lovable, too! Is she pure lab? Candy actually had a bit of chow in her but not much. Thank you so much for sharing! The layout is wonderful, too!
Happy new year!

I am a dog owner from Germany and share your feelings. I have lost my two dogs (15 and 16 years old) within 3 months of the year 2005. It was very hard to let them go after all the good times we had together. Now I have a new dog and new fun. Thank you for your wonderful doggy LOs!!
