Christmas Morning Layouts

Credits: Everything from Christmas Around the World Collab kit (Papers & tag by Janniscraps Designs; Frames by Scrapping Garden; Gold bow by Nana's Attic; Gold star by Mary's Scrap Galerie; "believe" by Scrap Professor; Christmas tree by Moo Two designs) Font-Amanda's hand.
I did this two-page layout of a few of the favorites from Santa to my boys this Christmas. I'm just loving all the goodies from Christmas Around the World...some really awesome stuff! Are you all enjoying your Christmas gifts? Greg and I bought ourselves a new point-&-shoot digital camera and printer so I've been having fun with that. The boys got me jammies and a robe. Hubby also surprised me with 2 pairs of Mammoth Crocs yesterday( I couldn't decide what color to get so he got me 2)! I've never been able to bring myself to wear Crocs, just don't like them, but I think these are adorable.
For those of you that asked about the figures on the gingerbread house, they are made fromeither marzapan or fondant (not sure). Edible, yes but not very tasty, lol! I hope to get some designing done in the coming year but I've been in a creative dry spell now for quite some time. I had to dig deep to find some for my contribution to CATW. When I'm on a roll I can create a kit in no time but when it's not there it takes me days just to do a layout. I wish it would come back soon.

Sending Merry wishes (a little late)!

It's been a whirlwind of a Christmas but as the wrapping has settled I finally have a minute to post well wishes to my faithful blog readers (and anyone else stopping by). I hope everyone is enjoying family and friends this holiday season!

Grandpa's Gingerbread House

Credits: Papers & elements from Highland Grunge and Highland Christmas by Misschifis Scraps; Font-Mayfield

This is the second year my dad has made an edible creation for the boys. This year it was a cute gingerbread house equipped with a light so you can see the Santa and Christmas tree inside! I think I inherited my creative side from my dad :). I still need to scrap the pictures of last year's carousal.

I won a contest!!!!

I just found out Monday that my layout above was 1 of 10 winners of the Premiere Holiday Challenge over at Scrapper's Guide. The prize was Photoshop Elements 6.0, Premiere Elements 4.0 and training videos! Is that an awesome prize or what?!?! I'm so darn excited about this because I rarely enter contests and this is the most significant prize I've ever won... for anything! The challenge was to create an ornament using a technique that Linda taught with one of her awesome video tutorials. The contest was for Premiere members only. If you've never visited that sight and are looking for some great video tutorials, I highly recommend the Premiere membership or at least ordering some of her videos from her store. I have learned some wonderful techniques. No affiliation just a very happy customer!!!! For my layout above, I used my Christmas Around the World freebie; Font is Beyond Wonderland

One year ago today...

...I said goodbye to my sweet pup, Candy. Even though I did a whole book of layouts of her this past year, I just had to do one more today in her memory. I used an overlay by Suzanne C. Walker and the font is Hobbes. Below is the same layout with a photo I took today of my sweet pup Kayla whom I'm thankful to have around this year!

Our Christmas card!

Every November I start to stress about getting a good photo of the boys for our Christmas card. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I get one without having to take them to a professional studio. I took this one in front of our tree and after many takes and some creative editing with Picasa and Photoshop, I like the way it turned out! Phew...we're good for another year! I usually do a little layout with the pic for the card but I thought this one stood well enough on it's own. I used Atomic Cupcake's Gold action on the letters and the font is Black Jack.
I realize I've been posting so infrequently these days but I hope that will change soon. Just a busy time of year and not much inspiration to design anything new. I did however choose to participate in the 'Christmas Around The World' free mega kit that will hit the blogs of many designers on Dec 10th. I will be one of the blogs with a goodie to give away so be sure and check back here on the 10th (or sooner if I get my creative juices flowing before then with something else) Thanks for stopping by and I'll chat with you soon ~C
